The Riebke family have some of the best kept vineyards in the Ebenezer district and their family have grown outstanding quality fruit from old, low yielding vines for six successive generations. This has got a bit of get up and go. It offers a healthy serve of dark berried fruit flavour but then it’s laden with both spice and florals and it has a bit of kick to the tannin too. It has substance. This is the best Rieske Shiraz I’ve seen in some years. It’s clean, pure, complex-enough and substantial. – March 2025 on the 2021 Teusner Riebke.
